1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your preferred type)
1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
1/4 cup diced onions (optional)
1 tablespoon taco seasoning (or your preferred spice mix)
1 tablespoon lime juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated and creamy.
Add in the lime juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
Prepare the Tortillas:
Warm the tortillas on a hot, dry skillet or in the microwave for a few seconds, just until they become soft and pliable.
Assemble the Wraps:
Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly spread the creamy chicken mixture in the center of each tortilla.
Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onions (if using).
Wrap the Tortillas:
Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.
Serve:
Cut each wrap in half and serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
Optional:
You can lightly grill or toast the assembled wraps on a skillet for a crispy exterior before serving.
