Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your preferred type)
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (or your preferred spice mix)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated and creamy.
    • Add in the lime juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  2. Prepare the Tortillas:
    • Warm the tortillas on a hot, dry skillet or in the microwave for a few seconds, just until they become soft and pliable.
  3. Assemble the Wraps:
    • Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly spread the creamy chicken mixture in the center of each tortilla.
    • Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onions (if using).
  4. Wrap the Tortillas:
    • Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.
  5. Serve:
    • Cut each wrap in half and serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
  6. Optional:
    • You can lightly grill or toast the assembled wraps on a skillet for a crispy exterior before serving.
